Today, we went diving in Tago! 🤿

Strong winds blew through last night, so Kumomi was closed due to weather conditions. Instead, we headed to Tago for an Enriched Air Nitrox course!

Have you heard of Nitrox? 🌊

Nitrox is a breathing gas with a higher oxygen content than regular air, which contains 21% oxygen. Common Nitrox mixes contain 32% or 36% oxygen.

When used correctly and within the appropriate depth limits, Nitrox can extend your no-decompression time compared to regular air. It can also help reduce nitrogen absorption, which is especially useful for divers planning multiple dives over several days!

Nitrox is a great option for experienced divers and anyone who loves diving day after day. However, it doesn't eliminate the risk of decompression sickness, and proper dive planning and oxygen exposure management are essential.

Our student is planning an overseas diving trip where Nitrox certification is required! We worked hard on the theory, practical skills, and final exam. Great job! 👏🐠

Nitrox is also commonly used at many dive destinations around the world.
